A1 GP Malaysia final is tomorrow.

I got 6 tickets from my friend who used to work in A1 Team Malaysia...Still contemplating whether to go or not? HHmmmm.... Actually I've been 2 watched A1 twice already, season 1 (2005) & season 2 (2006). Didn't went to season 3 (2007). Furthermore, I'm too lazy to drive all the way to Sepang to watch the race. Hopefully I got car to tumpang, then i can go liao. My ex-company is the official car rental provider & I was the one who make the first contact with A1 Team Malaysia. At that time, they are very low profile. After 4 seasons, I saw a lot of significant & positive progress. There are more followers & fans now.
Some pics I took in 2005 & 2006.

Saisaki Japanese Buffet Restaurant

Recently went to this Japanese Buffet Restaurant for dinner. Went on a Monday & surprised to see quite a large crowd eating there. Charges about RM60 for weekdays, weekends are slightly more expensive. Always heard people talking abut this restaurant...

finally got the chance to eat there. Well, most of the crowd are Chinese... i think Chinese loves Japanese food more compared to other races here.

This dinner is a free dinner if I manage to hit the target (AIA sales target). My team has this arrangement every month. Those who manage to hit the target will get to eat free. Those who have not hit the target have to pay. I did not hit the target so i gotta pay. Still owing this dinner to my manager (have not paid to him yet). My team loves eating Japanese food. They enjoy eating sashimi & all other raw food. Personally I don't really fancy Japanese food. Anyway, it's the team choice to eat here. There were plenty of selections, easily more than 80 different dishes. I do not take pics of the food... just took photos of the people... h ehe he.

Messy Room

Today is Sunday, not having any activities outdoor today, just stay in for the whole day. Planning to clean up & clear my rooms of unwanted things. My room is so messy now. Heard that feng shui is not good if our rooms are full of rubbish or unwanted things. I decided to clear some of the unwanted & old stuff. However I only manage to throw probably 1/100 of the stuff. There are still many things in my rooms. I dunno how to throw out things, when I look at it, I still think it's useful even though i'll not look at it for maybe 3 or 4 years. Hhhmmm..... I think I'm a sentimental person... But like Chinese saying - old one not go, new one cannot come... Sigh! Tao tia tao tia.....

23 more days to Hong Kong & Macau

Still 23 days to go before I step onto the soil of Hong Kong.....Mmmm, I'm counting days now. I'm still not in the mood 2 travel now probably because too busy with my work, it seems neverending. There are few places that I would like to visit - HK Disneyland, The Peak, Wax Museum, eat, eat, eat. If got opportunity, can go visit AnD team & members. Any more interesting places that I can go in Honng Kong? HK is an expensive place 2 visit compared 2 some other countries in Asia. Do you think so?

Match-making services? Kedai Kopi K3K Benta Kaya

Last Sunday, I went to a match-making agency with my friend. She asked me 2 accompany her to the company to check out what they offer. She's curious & like to find out more coz the consultant kept calling her. So she decided 2 go over & get more information. On Sunday morning, she came & pick me up & off we go to Subang Jaya. The match-making company is owned by a lady with her husband who also runs a IT/event consultancy services at the same location. She told us that the bought the database of about 5000 names of single people. I dunno where she purchased the database from. She explained on what her company can offer to the clients - it's 1 to 1 matching & blah blah blah. Charges varies depending on our qualification & also the potential match background & qualification. Membership is RM200 (if I'm not mistaken). 1 thing she asked from the members is to produce the payslip or the EA form (to make sure that the info we gave is genuine. She also told us that most of her clients are businessman & busy corporate people who do not have time tp find a life partner. I'll not pay $$ to get this type of services..... but i think it's ok to give it a try....My fren oso not willing 2 pay for this services. So we say thank you & bye bye.. Will this really work? I really dunno but i feel kinda awkward using this services, seems like very desperate. Well, that's my own opinion only. Some people find this fun & they really found their life partner using this services.

After this we went eat. We found this restaurant - Kedai Kopi K3K Benta Kaya. The service is quite good, I like that. The only setback got flies inside the Kedai Kopi. Quite a lot of people eating here. Lately there's a craze of all the kopitiam concept sprouting all over Klang Valley. There's Old Town, Old Taste - many many more.

Hamilton - the new F1 World Champion

I miss the last race.... wasn't really following the race. I know it's been a tight race for 2008 & the decider will be at the last race. Wow.... indeed it's such a close race - Hamilton pip Massa by merely 1 point. Ever since Michael Schumacher retired from F1 racing, the race becomes more interesting as last year & this year world champion are known only at the final race. That's wahta makes F1 exciting....Anyway, I'm Kimi Raikkonen's fan... whatever the result, i hope next year race will be as competitive as well. Now waiting for next year race..

2009 - what's in place for me?

2009 is coming nearer to me. Time just flies. Now it's already November 4th. Gosh! So what's my plan for 2009? what's my goal? i've yet to really sit down & plan but generally I've write down a few major things which I want 2 achieve in 2009.

1. Travel , travel & travel - been thinking of Switzerland, 2 travel with my family to Korea or Shanghai...

2. Slim down - tone up & firm up my body - get my hourglass figure - to get 60kg (what i thought my ideal weight)

3. Climb Mt. Kinabalu (must climb up - test my determination & perservarence & mental strength)

4. Get married at 090909 (uphill tasks - try my best la ha)

5. In terms of my career, build up my product knowledge, be efficient & master of all the producs I'm selling - providing good support 2 my clients, clients will trust me blah blah blah blah

6. To increase my income double fold from 2008 (i'm sure i can get this)

7. Reinstate as insurance agent & qualify for all challenge. Minimum get 5 cases per month & additional RM2K/mth

8. Having a healthy body

9. Stay enthusiastic & positive all the time. Be an infectious agent to all the people around me with my endless energy & optimistic attitude towards life

what else? got 2 sit down & think & plan & execute. Like what my fren told me, action all the way...........GO GO GO I can do it

Taman Negara 30 Aug - 1 Sept

Been postponing the blog for very long already... it's been sitting in my drafts for quite some time. Finally I can publish this...

This is my company trip, it’s annual dinner cum trip, this time we are back to nature. We’ll be spending our time in the lush greenery of rainforest for 3 days. For many of us, it’s our 1st time there. It’s my first trip there too, been thinking to go there for quite a long time. At last, it materialised through my company trip. Everyday we are staying n a concrete jungle – KL city. Now it’s time to reconnect back to the nature.

Our journey starts about 8a.m from our office. We asssemble at 7.30a.m for a briefing & everyone took 2 small bottle of mineral water & disposable raincoats before boarding the bus. We have about 46 of us, my boss family travels separate in another van. All this is arranged by the travel agent , NKS. They are 1 of the biggest tour operator for Taman Negara trip. The journey took about 4 hours. Halfway through, our bus suffered a punctured tyre.

Half of us boarded another bus & half of us continue with the same bus, dragging us towards the next nearest tyre shop for change. I’m thinking this journey is indeed very interesting & adventurous. It has started on Day 1 itself. We reached NKS office at Jerarntut about 1p.m. The other group already there having their lunch. Surprisingly, there were so many tourist going there to Taman Negara. It’s full of people. So we waited for our turn for lunch. After lunch, we proceed to Woodlands Resort, our lodging at Taman Negara. Our activitiy starts soon after we check-in. Accomodation are very basic hostel type accomodation (just like school camping) – it’s quadraple sharing.
I’m sharing my room with Tammy, May & Valerie (all the singles lady).
Day 1 Activities
3p.m: Caving at Gua Telinga
I’ve done caving at Gua Tempurung before, so I think I’m ok with this activity. It’s quite challenging inside because it’s very dark, we have to bring torchlight. Imagine my group consist of people of different age group & fitness level. But amazingly, all of us manage to climb out in 1 piece, no major injuries. To be honest, some of the place inside the cave is very small, we have to bend ourselves, glide down, climb up & down, crawling – you name it all type of actions required.
On the way out we saw a lot of bats hanging on top of us. Yuackks…We are also very lucky to see snake inside the cave. The journey tooks us about 1 hour to complete.

The route inside the cave is shorter than Gua Tempurung. From this activity, I realised that all the people in my company are tough people & have this never give up easily attitude. I’m so impressed & proud with all of us. My boss is the best, he came out very clean, while the rest of us get dirty. Probably he used to do this activities & he learned qigong. That’s why, his body is very flexible. Walk back to our resort, took another half an hour or so. Get ourselves cleaned.
Dinner at 7p.m at a floating restaurant – very simple dish only. I think everyone is so hungry, we eat a lot.
Night activities starts about 8p.m – Jungle Walk. Before we start the walk, we are required to watch the documentary about Taman Negara. It’s about 15 mins video about the flora & fauna found in Taman Negara. After the video, we proceed to the Night Jungle Walk, divided to about 3 groups with assigned 1 nature guide. We are expecting to see lot of wildlife but our group only manage to see 1 deer only. Some other group can't see any wildlife at all. After that, we went back to our place. When we reached our hostel, no water supply at woman's quarter. So we went to the men's quarter to take shower. Luckily there're water there if not we were like "ham yu" - salted fish - smelly. After shower, like normal, girls like to gossip - what's more we have 4 of us here. So we gossip until we fall asleep.

Day 2 - Canopy Walk & trek up Bukit Terisek
Another day of challenging & physical activities. After breakfast, we went to Canopy Walk, the whole journey took about 1hr to complete coz our group is quite big (abt 45 of us), only 4 person max are allowed at 1 time on the canopy. After the canopy walk, it's time for trekking. Another physical challenging activities. Some of us decided not to climb so they just lepak around while the rest of us continue our trekking up. The view is spectacular from top. Along the way up, we saw tongkat ali plant & other interesting plants. After reaching the top & taking some pics,
we make our way down for lunch.

Some of our group members who did not went up waited us at the entrance of the Canopy Walk. By this time, all of us were already very hungry coz the activities requires lots of energy, calories burned faster & we feel hungry. We took the boat ride back for lunch. Everyone eats a lot coz we are damn hungry.
After lunch, our journey continues... this time we went for rapid shooting & visit Orang Asli village. Rapid shooting is interesting - similar to white water rafting, the difference is it is very mild & limited rapids, using long boats. Anyway, we all also get wet. They make sure that everyone get wet. This is the fun part. After that, we visited orang asli village/settlement. There are a few orang asli village settlement near Taman Negara. We learned something about their living skills - using blowpipe & making fire. See the pics for more understanding.

We went back to our lodging place after this visit - getting ready for our dinner at Mutiara Resort Taman Negara. By 6.00p.m, all of us are ready & we board the small boat to cross the river to Mutiara. For some lucky ones, they did saw a wild boar roaming freely just outside the resort. I miss that!!
We have buffet dinner - i think the food was the best coz all our earlier meals was simple. We have games & lucky draw. My team lost in both games. Teams who won the games are rewarded. Everyone got their lucky draw gift.
Those who are luckier got an additional gift. I'm 1 of the luckier one, i got RM100 cash & Ramadhan buffet dinner for 2 at Istana Hotel. Am so happy. During dinner, I'm already very tired, forced myself to open my eyes. After dinner, went back & packed my things before zzzz.... Tommorrow is time to go back to KL - the concrete jungle. Going back by long boat - enjoy the scenery along the river. Saw some animals - wild boars, deers etc. See the pics - not clear though..
I really enjoy my trip with my colleagues... very interesting & exciting. I learned a lot from them & get to know them better. During our working time, we don't have much time to really get to know each other better. Wow I'm really looking better at my 2nd outing with my colleagues.
