We departed from HK around noon time & reached Macau about 1 plus. Took the free shuttle to our hotel - New Century Hotel. Check-in & love our hotel rooms coz it's so huge - a few sizes bigger than our room in HK (see below). After this we went out for food.
My sis brought us to a place, i can't remember what's the name of this place (a lovely church which was featured in the Korean series "Gong").
We went there for Portuguese food. The most interesting food on our table is "Sauna Prawn" - when the prawn arrived on our table, it's still fresh & live, then the waiter marinate the prawn with some wine & put them into a pot with hot pebbles & let the prawn cooked. The Portuegese name of this dish is called "Camaroes Suados". We were very hungry already coz it's almost 4 in the afternoon. One thing during this trip is our meal time is always very late & we always get hungry very fast, probably due to the cold wheather.
Some of the foods we ordered
After we complete our meal, we went for a walk around the area, it's so quiet & peaceful compared to the busy Hong Kong. And we bought the famous Portuguese egg tart.
It's getting colder when the night arrives. Our next destination is The Venetian. It's a must visit place in Macau. We took some pics outside.. & later we went inside to the casino.
Hotel lobby
Just spend a little time there. After Venetian, we went to another equally good casino, Wynn. My sis purposely brought us there to witness the "Rotunda" show there. It's quite grand & spectacular show. After the show end, many people throw coins - they say it'll bring luck. We also throw coins & hope luck will follow us. So we went into the casino & try our luck.
Ha ha ha... lady luck follow us, we won some little $$$ there. After satisfy with our small win, we make a move to our sis place. The purpose is to help her bring some of her stuff back to Malaysia. Sis is coming back to Malaysia for good. She worked 1 year in Venetian & have been back to Malaysia since early January 2009. By the time we reached her place, it's almost 12a.m. After packing, we went for a hotpot supper at the shop below my sis place. In the cold weather, we find that having this hot meal really warm us up. It's been a long & tiring day, we reached hotel about 2plus & I slept about 3plus.
Woke up abt 8a.m, packed everything & check out, keep our luggage at the storage room & went out to have dim sum for breakfast, my sis treat us at a famous dim sum place in Macau. Dim sum is quite a big thing here.
After our heavy dim sum breakfast, we went to the most famous place in Macau - The Ruins of St. Paul. Many tourists went there to take photos, so do us. It's a good place to take pics & I love all the pics we took there. On the way down, we bought lots of cookies from "Koi Kei Bakery" as souveniors. My sis also bought this porkchop burger to eat. She missed it during her last visit here few years back.
We rushed back to Venetian coz we wanna go for the Asian Adult Show - we won't find this type of show in Malaysia so we decided to check out the show there. Our last day in Macau is quite rush coz we gotta check out many places. I think we still left out some places unchecked. At the Asian Adult show, the most outrageous show is this painting by Pricasso - he use his penis to draw & paint portraits. I feel quite disgusting, would you keep this painting? Other than that, it's more like an exhibition on tools & aids for sex. There's some stage show which i don't really pay attention to it coz so many people there. There's a dance show by a group of men wearing just G-string & some sharing by a Japanese porno star using fingers to achieve orgasm? After 30 minutes inside this exhibition hall, we become bored & all of us agree that we wasted our $$ to come to this Asian Adult Show. The ticket price is HKD$100. Anway, it's an experience for us.
After this, we rushed back to our hotel & collect our luggages before taking a cab to the jetty. We checked-in direct to HKIA. I can't remember what time is our ferry but we reached HKIA quite early. Our flight is about 2340hrs so we have a couple of hours there. So many people in this airport. We didn't saw any familiar celebrities. Have our dinner & we shop around, i didn't buy anything there. I was drop dead tired & I slept at the waiting area. But i was impressed with the service staff at HKIA, very efficient. Goodbye HK & Macau, going back to Malaysia. It's the most tiring & rush trip i had but i enjoyed it.
Me - too tired sleeping at HKIA
Some interesting photos at Macau
