Last Sat, 080308 was the General Election Day for Malaysians. Me as a responsible citizen drove back to my hometown to cast votes together with my sister. We start our journey abt 8a.m & reached home abt 11a.m. Very tired of the long journey.... sleep first, woke up about 1 plus... go out tapao lunch coz mum didn't cook. After taking our lunch, about 2 plus, we went to the voting centre to cast our votes. Our voting station is at Sekolah Menengah Raja Muda Musa, a school in my neighbourhood. Mine is Poll Station No. 4. Not many people around there, probably most people have cast their vote in the morning, bump into my neighbour who also casting their vote there. There's not much Hoo Haa...in this voting centre, it seems peaceful. My sis purposely took camera to take some pics, unfortunately nothing interesting happened. HA ha My voting centre - Sekolah Raja Muda Musa
So we drove back to home, watch TV for awhile then followed my mum & uncle to kampung coz their voting centre is there. While inside the car, listens to the older generations talking about politics, how different is their viewpoint & my viewpoint. My mum & uncle cast their votes about 4.30p.m. Voting ended at 5.00p.m. Mum seems so panicky, running to cast her votes. It's drizzling out there. Dad has been at assisting the BN canndidate since morning, he is 1 of the volunteer staff. He has been calling us since 1 + to check whether have we cast our votes. After that, we went to visit our youngest uncle. Then we went for dinner, yummy seafood. Soon election results are announced & make known to public. Surprise results... Oppositions are winning a lot of seats. My uncle fear of any riots or whatsoever, asked us to go back early to our house. So we drove back..... once at home ... all of us are glued to the TV for results... Dad called ... more & more shocking results.... I think this is the first time in history that BN lose so many seats & lose 4 state government to the Opposition. The Opposition also surprised that they have won so many seats. BN - you have to conduct a post-mortem on why the results are such. Am sure there are lots of reasons for this results. Am proud that Malaysians have voted & make a stand for themselves.
Me registering myself to vote....my 2nd time voting
