Marathon Day - 26 August 2007
On Sun, woke up at 5a.m, get ready to go to USJ5 - Kompleks Sukan Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya for the Subang Jaya Merdeka Run 10KM Marathon. By 5.45a.m, 3 of us are on the way to USJ 5, reached there about 6.10a.m. The sky is still dark, quite a number of people already there, most come in group.
My T-shirt & tag. My no. is M0222 (nice huh)
The run only starts at 7.30a.m, by 7a.m, more & more people turn up, & taking their time to do warm-up around the track. 7.15a.m, Reebok's (1 of the sponsors) instructor lead warm-up exercise for all the participants.
7.30a.m sharp, flag-off for 10KM run for both men & women category. Then followed by veterans 7km, men & women, girls & boys 7km, disabled people & the last 1 is the 3km Fun Walk. This is the category that I joined. I'm excited and happy to see all the people around, most of them seems like regular marathon runner. And lots of "leng chai" with their trim & fit body. I only walk throughout the 3km coz I can't run, if I run, I think i can cover 10m only. I reached the finishing point within 45mins (which is quite long) coz the participants from 10km also have reached the finishing line earlier. He he... not bad la... considering I manage to complete the walk.
3 of us - my sis, Shiao Yee, my friend May & myself
Some parents bring along their young children ( as young as 2 - 3 year old) together for the Fun Walk. And they can run, some of the children can run so fast that their parents have to catch-up with them. Some parents running wth the baby stroller as well. Wow, all I can say is that they really have great sportmanship spirit. I decided to participate in other marathon so now I got to start training. He he he he
Biggest cheer reserved for this uncle - great sportsmanship
Almost there - finishing line

A gift of LOVE - The love of Myself
I got this small little book from my friend.... It's actually a free publication initiated by a few dedicated person. I love the contents so much, it gives me inspiration, motivates me when I'm feeling down and most of all is the power of LOVE (to love myself unconditionally) .... just like to share with all of you.
This is the 2nd printing and they have 10,000 copies distributed all over in Malaysia free for friends, family members etc. Some of the books have been given to people as far as Australia, Bali, China, India, Singapore & Thailand.
It is very simple & easy to understand... very few words but meaningful & deep in meaning. Altogether is 50 pages - I'll share Pg 1 & 2 first.
Page 1:
Love is ... Accepting yourself for who you are and who you are not
Accepting your strengths and weaknesses. Accept your good and bad habits. Accept yourself, warts and all. Acknowledgement and acceptance is the first step towards changing negative behaviours. In this whole entire universe, we can find only one unique YOU!
Food for the heart: Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections. (Unknown Author)
Page 2:
Love is ... Allowing others to be themselves
When we allow, we give others the opportunity to be who they are, instead of who we want them to be. Just as we want freedom to be who we are, similarly we should give others the freedom to be who they are. Allowing is selfless, allowing is love.
Food for the heart: None of us have the power to make someone else love us. BUt we all have the power to give away love, to love other people. And if we do so, we change the kind of person we are, and we change the kind of world we live in. (Rabbi Harold Kushner)

5 Years Anniversary in Mayflower
Gosh.... I've hit the 5 year mark with my present company. 16 September 2007 is my 5 yrs anniversary. It's been a long 5 years. I remember it last week but forget abt it on weekends coz am back 2 my hometown & my mind is too preoccupied with other things. Ha ha ha, it struck my mind again yesterday.
Are there any celebration? Well, it is a firm NO. Actually I'm looking forward to leave the company by early next year probably after the Chinese New Year. I'm staying on because I want to fulfill my term as my company Sports Club President. Things have changed over the years, my goals also have changed... so it's time to move on. Move on with my life and move nearer to achieve my goals & dreams.
I've started as a sales co-ordinator, then move on as marketing officer, marketing exec, assistant marketing manager and I just recently request to transfer as corporate sales executive. I want a change coz I feel it's like stagnant, no room for growth.. that's why I change to corp sales coz I want to challenge myself & also expand my network and it is also 1 of the fastest way to earn additional income - coz got commission. I can see the results - results of my work by getting the sales.
It's not easy though coz most of them are cold prospects but I believe that I can make it. I can be successful. There's no looking back for me coz life is about moving forward.

One day KL City Tour - 25 Sept 2007 (Mid Autumn Festival)
Yesterday i took a day off from my office, didn't realise it coincide with Mid Autumn Festival. The purpose taking leave is actually accompanying my sister who is in KL for visit. Our plan for the day was visiting the Petronas Twin Tower Skybridge & Eye On Malaysia. I've never been to this 2 places so I decided to join my sis. I took leave last Friday only.
The movie ends about 1.30p.m, just nice for us to go for the Skybridge visit. So 4 of us meet again and make our move to the Entrance. Most of the visitors there are mainly tourists from other countries. Before taking the lift up to Level 41(which only takes 41secs), we are treated to a 3D show on the history & background of Petronas Twin Tower & the skybridge. As a Malaysian I feel very proud of Petronas (the national petroleum of Malaysia) & the contribution they make to the community here. You know, the visit to Skybridge is free & open to all.
After Skybridge, we went for afternoon tea coz our tummy starts growling. So went for a quick bite at A & W. After that, we did some shopping in a few of the shops in Suria KLCC. Seriously, most of the shops in KLCC are very branded ones & I couldn't afford to buy 1. So I did window shopping only.
We left KLCC about 5.15p.m, rush hour time coz our Muslim frens will go off earlier during Ramadhan to prepare for "buka puasa". The LRT station is full of people, luckily we manage to squeeze ourselves inside. We stop at Masjid Jamek station, then walk about 15mins to my sis co. to get my car. By this time, we are very tired, my back started aching, i guess age really catch up on me. So off we drove to our next station, the famous "Dried Chilli Pan Mee" shop. My 2 sis have not tried this special noodles, that's why we bring them to taste this yummy food. The shop is called Kim Kee & has been featured in a TV program "Ho Chiak" & some newspaper & magazines.
Our day start from 8.30a.m. We drove to my sis company & parked our car there, then we took LRT to KLCC. We reached there by 9.30a.m, go & collect the Skybridge ticket, we only manage to get the 2.00p.m slot. We have a few hours before 2.00p.m, so we go for brunch. It's about 10.15a.m so 4 of us proceed to the Food Court. After food, me & 1 of my sis went for movie, Hairspray. Excellent movie, my feet is moving to the music. It was a funny & heartwarming movie. Just love the girl, Tracy she can really dance. Not forgetting Joh Travolta as Tracy's mom. Wow, his role is a woman(big size woman) who can dance. The movie starts at 11.30a.m and the whole cinema is less than 20 people. No queue, so nice. I'm seriously thinking of changing my normal office hour job to flexi hour job. Can watch movie during off-peak & at cheaper rate only. I pay only RM8 for early bird slot and the best thing is no need to queue to get the tickets. On weekends, cinema are quite packed with people. The other 2 sis went to Kinokuniya to kill time until 2.00p.m.

Once up at Level 41, we can see the view of Kuala Lumpur, saw many of the tall buildings around, the feeling was great!! I feel like when we stand at a high point & look down, the view is great and spectacular.

After the yummy & delicious dinner, we went to the Eye On Malaysia, specially built for Visit MAlaysia Year 2007 & 50th Golden Celebration of Merdeka. It will stay for 1 year until 31 Dec 2007 so I guess it's not other better time 2 come & experience this ride before it's gone. Ha ha.. Nice view at night! No w only I know my 2 sis is so scared of height, they are so stiff sitting there. Ha ha ha.
After this, it's time to end my 1 day tour. Though it's only about 9p.m, but i was aching from top to toe already. And I hate the fact that I still have 2 work 2mw. How nice if i can just lepak lepak
